From my trip experiences:
Keep in mind that not all people will have a pleasant hiking experience so please be careful and plan out where and when will be done hiking so you can locate the finish line. It is critical to be cautious where you are going out regardless of someone or yourself so that you will protect from hidden dangers.
Safety tips to enjoy hiking with no stress:
- Don’t go on a hike days before the official holidays (Labor Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s). The chance of getting hurt is enormous than these days before and after (incidents relating to personal injuries).
- If you are hiking solo or with someone, please use trails at your risk. I do highly recommend to hike with your friends or your buddies if possible.
- Don’t walk alone in out-of-town parks (Nockamixon State Park – day or night because it’s very isolated and you may be suspect kidnapping, and you don’t know what to expect).
- If you are heading to the out-of-town parks, always stick to the well-populated area and avoid isolated yourself. Have someone go with you.
- If you plan to hike alone, stick to the well-populated park and walk only in-town trails (Wissahickon Park or trails along with streets) and stay away from suspicious objects.
- If you see something suspicious, stay away, don’t take the risk, and don’t go to the path, etc.
- Always have your emergency contacts both with your parents and the park emergencies with you and keep it with you at all times.
- Never go on a hike at night as kidnappings, murder, and other suspicious behaviors are the enormously high risk to endangered yourself and others. Only go to the park during the daytime.
Unfortunately, Central Park is closed until the solution is resolved. Following the news of the teenager hiking with his friends, the boy, Connor Golden (18) broke his leg after he climbs the rock. He saw things unusual and was stepped on the device by mistake. He was hiking with two of his best friends that he claimed that his two best friends “accompanied” with Golden (Schram, 2016). It is so decisive for all nature travelers to choose alternative parks to reduce further injuries with aghast news they publicized the world. Remember, all individuals who are going to the park should never bring any weapons (bombs) to the park under any circumstances as these carry hazards reactions unless there are dissecting reasons and the purpose of the use. Bombs should never be allowed in a park starting today.
Please, be careful where you head out!!! Pray for him and the lord!!!
