Working and staying home, we have been got through the pandemic. I know that many people wanted to get back to pre-pandemic life. I know that, but this Covid anxiety doesn’t have to be boring or cause you to worry only if you are fully vaccinated. If you aren’t vaccinated, get it as soon as possible.
On July 28, it was a day off from job training when I took a Septa bus to Center City, such as City Hall, Chinatown, Old City, you name it. It was then the community have changed what people were viewing in the post-pandemic world. It was the most exciting day when I have opportunities to go out, not having to stay home all the time and just working on blogging and working from home. I need to take a break from work.
To enjoy yourself, here are the things to keep in mind.
How to stay safe during the pandemic?
Staying safe during the pandemic requires taking extra precautions.
We are rapidly aware of the delta variant. However, being fully vaccinated doesn’t mean you should go mask-free. Health officials are highly urged to be vaccinated and unvaccinated to follow Covid-19 precautions like wearing a facemask and practicing social distancing.
Public transportation:
- Face masks are still required no matter the vaccine status.
- Only travel when absolutely necessary.
- Do not eat and drink on the bus. Wait until you get off the bus or other vehicles.
- I felt very safe in and around the community and had no problems.
At the shopping center:
- Wear a facemasks
- When holding or opening a door, use your arms or elbow. Don’t use your hands. If you must use your hands, use disinfects towels.
- Limit the time for only necessary like shopping.
- At the food court, only order food when necessary. Don’t dine out unless there is no alternative.
- Don’t touch items such as merchandise. Only look if you want something. Hint: use your gloves if you must touch something. When you finish, be sure to wash your hands.
At the public indoor places:
- Wear a facemask
- When holding or opening a door, use your arms or elbow. Or you can use disinfect towels for your hands.
- Limit the time indoors unless necessary.
The change have taught how to be responsible for myself.
I-Powers Travel General Tips when going out in public:
- Be extra vigilant when you are in public.
- Don’t draw attention to yourself.
- If there are around people, I highly wear face coverings, both indoors/outdoors.
- If someone asked, “Are you Asian?” don’t answer it. I just walked away to a safer place.
- Do not forget to bring several antibacterial wipes, hand sanitizer, and facemasks. These are must items.
- Even face masks aren’t required in certain indoor places, and we would continue to wear a facemask, citing the delta variant.
- Facemasks are needed in crowded outdoors too.
We hope to continue enjoying yourself and others without ruining your fun in the sun while maintaining their precautions.
