2022 lists for travelers!

Many travelers were depressed and angry that we had to stay home and restrict travel because of recent cases.

I know, but there are ways to cope with the situation below.

Some travelers, especially me, have been stuck at home with a few trips back in 2021. Some folks were feeling bored and had no idea what they wanted to do. Others were feeling tired and bored, turned in for unhealthy snacking, drinking, and self-harm to cope. And others feel irritated, stressed, agitated, sad, and throw tantrums to get attention. Don’t! This is not self-care and a mature way to manage.

Instead of snacking and drinking, here are lists you want to do instead (for 2022 and beyond):

  • Take a walk
  • Stretch
  • Dance
  • Do Yoga
  • Practice mindfulness
  • Workout
  • Laugh and smile
  • Talk to someone, (family/friends/trusted someone)
  • Do things that enjoy yourself
  • Go out and explore
  • Travel to new places

Want to step out of the boring zone but are already got boosted? That’s great! You will feel better, mentally, physically, and emotionally stable, and finally, happier. I guarantee that you can do this.

It is time for you to consider traveling again, but restrictions are.

I-Powers Travel

Only fully vaccinated travelers can safely travel with a recommended mask-wearing.

  • What does it mean “fully vaccinated?”
    • 2-dose of either Pfizer or Moderna (2 weeks from the 2nd dose) or 1-dose of Janssen (2 weeks from the single dose)
    • The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has updated its listings to “fully-vaccinated.” Here is the list of the updated page here.
    • You will need an up-to-date vaccination status before you travel.
    • Up-to-date vacation status means “You got fully vaccinated and boosted.”

Despite the omicron variant, I reconsider my nearby trips in Philadelphia, such as Ambler or North Wales. I am excited to look forward to updating my blog about Philadelphia: Funtastic Philadelphia Travel Guides. I am super happy to travel again, along with travelers.

For travelers who plan to travel in 2022, things to do before:

For unvaccinated Travelers

  • Get fully vaccinated
  • Keep your vaccine card – many places such as restaurants, museums, ticketed attractions, airports, etc., require an up-to-date Covid vaccine card.

For those who are fully vaccinated but haven’t boosted

  • Get a booster shot
    • 5 months from the last dose for either Moderna or Pfizer shots
    • 2 months from the previous dose for Jansson.

Tips for all travelers:

  • Even though you are fully vaccinated, be sure to research any Covid restrictions. It is essential to be flexible for any changes. You may be subject to quarantine and testing.
  • Every time you leave home, be sure to have a copy of an updated Covid-19 vaccine card and your photo ID just in case many places will ask you for an up-to-date vaccine card.
  • Many places will adopt a “fully vaccination” and “Up-to-date vaccination” status where people gather.
  • Even though the mask mandate has been lifted, I highly recommend bringing 2-3 facemasks and wearing one.

Warnings for everyone:

  • It is crucial to practice handwashing, covering your mouth/nose with a tissue, etc. These lessons will follow for the rest of your life.
  • Even when sick, like the flu or Covid symptoms, do not travel. Reconsider travel to different dates and when you are fully recovered.
  • Important: Do not make, produce, buy, or possess fake Covid vaccine cards to forego a mandatory vaccination. These are against the law, and you will be prosecuted to the fullest.

I considered a “fun” NYC trip to Edge NYC to May instead of March. Looking forward to exploring.

Looking at the 360° view of Edge NYC, I feel the confidence of post-pandemic travel.
