Why I expected to travel solo to Australia?

Australia is a beautiful place, especially for any type of traveler. Ideally, it is one of the “once-in-a-lifetime” places you want to visit.

Plus, you will see the Sydney Opera House when you visit Sydney, tour the city of Perth, or Uluru Mountain in Central Australia.

Why am I planning a solo trip to Australia?

First, I am genuinely celebrating the special event for solo travelers. It was known as “Plan a Solo Trip Day,” which was on March 1st. You can refer here for information.

I was preparing for the research about “How I prepare for the trip” in a post-pandemic world.

Here is the video of a woman who traveled solo to Australia and had a great time.

Here I am heading on my next trip as part of #PlanASoloVacationDay.

Why is Australia appropriate for solo travelers?

  • The crime rate is lower than in the USA.
  • Australia has strict gun laws, meaning murder is very rare or non-exist.
  • It ranked as the least corrupt, compared to the USA.
  • Solo female travelers traveling and visiting Australia are generally very safe, appropriate, friendly, and more likely to go out and enjoy the trip without any problems. But be sure to stay away from the unsafe neighbors, partially in Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth.
  • The health system in Australia is excellent and met with western standards. Lots of speakers can fully understand Americans, but the accent is different.
  • Finally, Australia is a fun place to visit, enjoying the southern part of the hemisphere. You will learn as I take a solo vacation. My family/friends/social connections will impress/be proud of me.

Because my travel savings ran low, I am considering a solo trip somewhere about a year from now. But unfortunately, the airfare is getting outrageously expensive, especially when recovering from the pandemic.

My bucket list is to visit Sydney because it is a very safe place, especially for women who travel alone. That bucket list includes crossing the Sydney Harbour Bridge, visiting Darling Harbour, Sydney Tower Eye, George Street, Chinatown, etc.

Reopening Australia

2 years after the travel restrictions due to the pandemic, it was fully reopened to fully-vaccinated travelers. However, it doesn’t mean that you immediately plan a trip there; you need to know the Covid requirements even though you have been vaccinated/boosted.

Currently, the US Department of State has issued Australia as Level 4 – Do Not Travel due to Covid-19. However, the wait can soon be over.

I highly recommend getting a booster shot for extra protection before you travel not only to Australia but abroad.

Conclusion

Planning a solo trip requires careful planning, including budgeting, evaluating, assessing risk management, planning, executing, etc. I have started to use my model by using “I-Powers Travel” methods to customize the trip plan based on a “holistic” process. Finally, I don’t rely on trip planning on an “atomistic” technique that makes my trip dull, boring, or dislike activities.

If you ever started thinking of traveling to Australia badly just because it is a very cool place to visit? If so, let’s plan together. But, finally, do not give up planning.

Happy Planning!
