Meet Travel Writer

Stephanie M. Tse (aka. United Acela Tse) is an owner of online blogging business: I-Powers Travel. She has a plethora of travel knowledge related to her unique travel tips, tricks, stories, and experiences. Through her childhood years of traveling in and out of Philadelphia for both visiting her family and leisure purposes, United has tackled her mother’s limited travel experience into travel safety and awareness, “Why Solo Travelers with Limited Educational Background has more stressful travel experience?” She also grows out of the visionary of travel tips and tricks well before she entered high school with her unique business name: I-Powers with a favorite word, Travel, translated into I-Powers Travel.

She started to travel abroad with her only brother and mother when she was only three years old in Hong Kong. Her father only worked hard to earn money to travel overseas. Her mother had a hard time entering and exiting our country because of her limited English skills. She learned how her mother’s limited English proficiency had affected her ability to travel alone with her sibling, and that is why she wrote to the public about her importance of education related to the freedom to travel abroad and to live their dreams. With her extra help, her mother knew how to stay safe in the community, read traffic signs in English, drive, and to travel with her confidence.

Her fascination to see the world had begun just after she learned more about the cultures and customs. She was a curious girl who was willing to learn and to explore outside of America.

Her passion for travel had started back around in her middle school, where she began to visit the library to learn more about the cultures and languages around the world. She has told her parents that her future goal is to travel around the world with her confidence. Her parents said to her that “traveling is expensive,” so she created travel budgets and stashes her money for the future.

Because of the strong characteristic of her money and arithmetic, she chose accounting/finance as her intended major with her minor in visual arts (creativity) and tourism.

Before she started high school, she took her younger siblings to expose outdoor activities in NYC and Philadelphia with both supervision and guidelines with educational and recreational purposes.

During her 4 tirelessly high school years, she adapted transitional skills and abilities, which translated into real-world travel solving problems and applications. She shared some travel tips, tricks, and advice and instructed high school students to travel around in the community safely. She had her challenges for some people, such as going around places. She also worked hard to create her 7-word Trip Cycle known as I-Powers Travel. Because of her outstanding academic work, she won her scholarships, which enable her to travel to Arizona for her college and reimburse her travel experiences to travel in and out of Philadelphia.

She signs up for her MileagePlus program in January 2010 and regularly traveled on an airline (partnered airlines) to earn her miles. She has begun to fly solo to various destinations during these years. She has been enjoying flying on planes, both domestically and internationally.

Working and studying in Tucson, Arizona for four years, she has her own characters of flying home regularly to see her family. In 2013 due to formal education credentials needed to gain her advancement from a retail and administrative clerk, she studied Accounting/Finance with a minor of Tourism at both Community College of Philadelphia and Temple University. She was unhappy sometimes because she doesn’t have other places to go other than Tucson, AZ. She decided to move back to Philadelphia to explore more places nearby and to meet new friends. After she was now a happier, more confidence girl who has the ambition to share her travel guide, Philadelphia.

In September 2013, she opened a new business theme called “Funtastic Philadelphia Travel Guides” for her new travel guides in and around Philadelphia because she loves to explore further, different places around hometown.

She is now a graduated girl (a MileagePlus member) from both Community College of Philadelphia and Temple University with both Associate and Bachelor’s Degrees in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting/Tourism. She is currently working as a specialist at Temple with her ambition of becoming a Traveler/Clerk/Admin.

Her continued future and career plan are to travel around the world with her confidence in solo travel.
