Travelers beware – Trip Voucher Scams

People yearned for free trips and vacations all the time, and so do I. I love traveling around the world, but there are some restrictions for traveling to countries with tough language barriers.

I have numerous experiences correlating to my email, saying that I received an unsolicited email about “Free Trip to China” dated my assigned travel dates from June 11, 2011, to June 21, 2011. I am warning us not to send personal bank account info to illegitimate companies. I am reminding us to delete unwanted emails. Also, do not click on the link that scammer could steal your personal information such as bank accounts, credit card, personal information, social security number, and much more that are very critical information. We need protection from identity theft.

Here is the scenario for everybody!

When you picked up from your email, you saw something unusual. A voucher said you won a trip to Beijing for free with a round-trip airfare – Air China. All you need to do is give your credit card number. Just call the 800 number to find out more.

What should people do?

Can people call the number? Let’s found out what is my advice.

Your best recommendation:

Do not give your credit card number to strangers or a person offer trip voucher; they are utterly useless. If you give your number to strangers, a stranger then steals your money and the identity. Also, they have numerous restrictions and conditions that customers don’t really want. Also, calling to find more about the trip can cost more than $5 a minute because of most of all, long-distance calling took place outside of unknown areas possibly out of the US. These scam artists may book into miserable (dirty and unsuitable) accommodations. Beware!

My best solutions are:

  • Beware of these “Free trip packages.” If you didn’t sign up for anything, you didn’t win anything. Plan and simple!
  • Beware these saying “All major airlines and hotels.” Get specific names from legitimate travel agencies or book a trip on your own.
  • Beware when they say “Join a club” or others high tactics that require a large sum of money (several hundred to thousands of dollars) to redeem a prize.
  • Stay away from any clubs, scams, salesperson offering “free” trip voucher, or other scams. They have many restrictions and conditions – they’re useless that “you will have a miserable vacation holiday.”
  • Check any unfamiliar travel operator/agencies with Better Business Bureau.
  • Don’t call the 800 number because they charge more than $5 per minute. That’s how these companies make money.
  • Book your own trip through a known travel agency, airline websites or legitimate travel websites without breaking your bank.
  • Refuse these with social fake*; there are chances that someone could steal your money from bank accounts. Just hang up.
  • Do your own homework and research.

*Social Fake refers to obstacle behaviors that makes people feel good about themselves or to make good about themselves. e.g. I felt tired by listening to other’s people.

Remember, most of these scams including actual trip itinerary doesn’t exist. Please discard them in the trash to protect yourself.

Here what happens when people did receive a “Free Vacation.”

When they sign up offering a trip, they give the name, address, credit card number, and other personal information. They also pay a small fee, and the salesperson delivers vacation packages. Often, the vacation packages – actual trip itinerary – have never arrived or have disputed. As their vacation packages come straight to the door, they think to themselves that vacations dates have passed or have “overbooked.” In most case, the trip they want to travel is not available to travel, feeling customers have “left out with sadistic vacation holidays.” Now they end up charging too much than to book their own trip. It’s entirely useless and guess what happened? They may have a high-pressure tactic, and they may have found out their bank account is “bounced.” Also, they have ended up wasting your money, stress, and time.

For your consideration:

Be aware that free vacations are not just scams, but also pay no taxes. Continuously, the salesperson who sell “free vacation packages” make no payment of hotel per nights, tours, and other complimentary fees for famous landmarks and tourist sites that forced customers to pay more money to get their (complete) actual vacation. Remember if you offer a free vacation scam, there are more likely to have several (nonsensical) timeshare presentations you are required to attend to enjoy a “dream trip.” What a bummer! All of the travel packages they receive are not true, as vacation packages are useless. Moreover, the scam artists booked a hotel room that is in someone’s house or apartment. You will be ended up in dangerous places, such as in remote areas with lousy food; they offered a dirty, unlit room you don’t want to stay for one terrible night. Beware of these!

By booking your own trip (trip itinerary) through repetitive travel agencies or websites, you will feel good about yourself sooner by enjoying your dream vacation on a budget.

BEWARE OF THESE SCAMS! DISCARD/DELETE THEM INSTANTLY!
